i need suggestions for the aforementioned topic header.
preferably music without lyrics though. i'm mainly looking
for the beat with the happier tones of idm and drill and
bass. more hip hop beats than boards of canada, but not as
technical as machine drum.

even suggestions of instrumental versions of albums put out
by rappers and hip hop artists will work.

not nescesarilly idm based but..

dj shadow
dj krush
dj spooky
mad ep (eating movies, i think is the name of one of his
albums)
larvae (more industrial, but some dope hiphop-ish beats)
dj vadim
madlib

considering that you are hip to machinedrum, you probably
already know about all of the above.

if you can get instrumentals for the following, go for it:

pete rock
people under the stairs
common (resurrection)
de la soul (stakes is high)
any beats by GZA
madvillian

anything off of Stones Throw

Pendulum - Tarantula

sorta counts I guess. It's rapping over a drum & bass beat.

He pisses on Timbaland. What the fuck are you on about?????

Timbaland is innovative and accessible. That's tough. Being
esoteric and underground isn't as impressive as making
totally fresh, flipped beats then selling fuck loads of
records.

That sort of thing doesnt really do it for me, but i
personally think that a lot of the grime scene has some
really great production. So begin cheking out that brit hop.

Lady sovereign, Dizzee rascal, Kano all that sort of shit.
Sort of bad in a good way i think.
