For the happiness of Nacmat I'll make another of my famous poll... and it iasn't about our dear Aphex but about our dear Autechre. The question is: Which is the worst autechre's album, between the followings, in your opinion? ------------------------------------------------ -Incunabula- -Amber- -Tri Repetae- -Tri Repetae ++ (disc2 Anvil Vapre+Garbage)- -Chiastic Slide -LP5 -EP7 -Confield ------------------------------------------------ Please, nobody tell me "I love all the albums, they're all masterpieces, etc..., etc..." I'd like only to know which is the album who you like less than the others. So people, now It's time to give your important and expert vote! |

the one that I play less is Incunabula ... and it is because maybe is the one that surprised me less... you know, i didnt buy it back in 93 i bought it this year after having listened to so much autechre... I prefer amber (in old school). anyway i love incunabula...but you asked me to answer so i did...Incunabula is with no doubt the one (of those above) that I could live without |

i love amber and incunabula their newer stuff recently has left me cold it sounds like computers and plug ins, their is no soul, electronic music needs some soul to it, just like afx does |

First I listened all ep7 and Chiastic Slide for a better valuation and... hmm... sorry but I think I must change my idea... the album who I like less is ep7. Chiastic Slide isn't so bad... So I change my vote for ep7 (sorry for my indecision). |

I went to the same conclusion as you woofer but it was yesterday... my vote goes to EP7 my first autechre listen but it was on tape... :< it impressed me a lot |

Tri Repeate, lp5 and Confield are all vote free. So I'd say they'd be your best bet. They are my fave's |

Netlon, you'll find the answer to your question is another topic who I wrote about Confield. Try to take a look below ;) Confield isn't my best album, but I like persons who take their risks for find innovations and experiments. Confield is totally innovative and I find it very interesting. |

where are all the Confield bashers... who said that the album was a bad joke, or that Confield was unlistenable. I found that Confield was the first record by Ae that had immediately memorable tracks. with the past records, few tracks stood out and they tend to blend together unless you listen carefully. i'll nominate Amber, just not very filling. |
