check out Dion Workman's album Ching... it's certainly audible, but also very palpable... moreso than anything else i can think of... it's all about the transitions... another album on the same label, antiopic, has some similar stuff going on, although it's really just a great low key insular ambient album... and that one is called "Sem", it's by David Daniell... he used to play in the guitar trio San Agustin... i listen to Sem all the damn time. both these albums own.

i'd like to see if i can pull it off with different instruments, but that may require an equalizer and other equipment i don't have at the moment, but this is an ongoing project.

Damn, Elusive really knows his shit! It went so far over my head, he really should open an IDM SpeakerZ company or something. sheesh!
I think it'd be interesting to see this done.. If it were entirely inaudible frequencies, than I think the end result would be something different than music.. it'd be like what art deco or wallpaper is to drawing/painting. kind of like what Merzbow is going for.. like a sort of decor rather than something entirely demanding with the sort of cohesiveness of traditional music..
I don't really know what the hell I'm talking about, but aren't there some kind of big-assed audiophile speakers/cones that are made of wood or ceramic or something that can handle lows a lot better and are less prone to blowing? I guess I don't really even know what type of sub/speaker/whatever would generally be used to amplify those specific frequencies.. but whatever it is, I would think that a harder material would be able to emit lower tones easier.
maybe the cia is working on some gargantuan graphite-titanium-diamond speaker thing to interfere with brainwaves.

make an album out of sampled turd droppings... the various vibrations of ass holes and turds dropping in the water.
each ambient track will be of a different species.
wait.. why am i telling you my secrets on taking over the world with my sounds... what the fuck!? ahh the madness!!
