I own it and it suites me perfrectly

But! to be honest, it had some problems with recording in
96k, the high frequencies get filtered and that's no good.
And what's even more worriying is that presonus themself
know this but havent uploaded the update yet (they were
suppose to upload an driver that would fix it sometime)

Besides from that I think it's great, the headphone preamp
is really good (really load) and the built in mic preamps
have really clear sound with very low nosie.
The software mixer is nice and easy, the latency setting can
be really low and so on.

But still, the fact that the presonus arses havnt updated
the drivers yet sort of annoys me and that's the reason i
cant say BUYIT! BUYIT!

That sucks. I've heard good things about the firebox in
terms of quality, latency and stability. Does it filter too
much high end when recording at lower sample rates too? I
mean, it'd be normal to filter everything over say 20kHz
when recording at 44kHz etc but the filter cutoff should be
a bit less than half the sample rate as the sample rate
increases.

having a few problems with mine, i'm sure they're
driver/firmware related. not a bad unit, though, especially
for the money.

is the low end lacking a bit on yours at all? bass doesn't
seem to reproduce as accurately as i'd have liked, but
perhaps i've just been used to consumer cards for too long
(probably over a year since i've touched another external
sound card, excepting an mbox which i'm sure had more low
end).

sound quality is pretty ace, can't believe how loud the damn
headphone socket is; too loud, in fact.

damn, because the main reason i bought this over an maudio
unit was the driver support; reviews and reports seemed to
indicate this had far superior drivers, which were updated
more often. hmm.
