I'm sorry if this has been said before (sadly I don't have enough time to read all the threads). I know some people wanted to know what they played when they said the nominations. They played the artists video and insted of reading the name out they simply had the artists name in text on the screen. For Aphex they played the "Aphex alien video thing" from the beginning of afx237 v.7. After they showed a video message of Robbie with "his" award (It should have been Richards) one of the host's said I wouldn't mind putting £10,000 on Aphex Twin, and the crowd cheered :-) Then he said he loved Aphex Twin and called him the "Cornwall Kraftwerk" (I'm sure it wasn't Craftwork). Pretty cool, considering that the host's almost never talked about an artist after the award had been givin, let alone an artist that didn't even win! We all know Richard should have won but atleast he got nominated on a mainstream music awards, thats something! |
