help out!! :)

what would you ask a band that experimented with the sound
in their beginings and then changed their artistic
expression into a bit more masses friendly music, but still
with strong message in their music..now they're going to be
a part of this festival of experimental music where they
will present the music from their beginings. their music got
a bit more club oriented, almost dance sort of music btw.

i thought of some questions already but i have a lot of
stuff to finish by tomorrow so i'll surely be in hurry :)
cheers!

what problems have you experienced in your transition ot a
more accessible sound?

what were your decisions to become more "club-friendly" with
your music?

how do you respond to those who question you penchnt for the
avant garde due to your recent;y developed accessibility?

how do you go about writing music now after evolving as
opoosed to composition methods in your earlier years?

what is your plan for presenting your music in a
chronological set?

thanks.

btw, try to imagine throbbing gristle early stuff transform
into rammstein type of music (though ideologically and
articticly quite different).

"Do you regret selling out?"

Seriously, try, "does it bother you that some of your
earlier fans/music elitists don't respect your transition to
a more mainstream sound?"

whoa! that's quite a shift, but it's feasible. what's the
name of this band?

try asking them about the evolution of their guitar
techniques, like what made them switch to more power-chordal
progression.

haha, i wouldn't dare to ask that. they always had this
ideology present in their artistc expression, it's just that
the music part got more accessible. they only went through
that experimental phase early in the 80's and then changed
it into sort of more pop-alternative in the mid 80's..

the thing is this is going to be a very short interview..two
questions at most as i have abooout 5 or 6 more people to
interview and very limited time..

it's laibach and personally i think they leave out the music
part pretty much to the top notch producers nowdays and
maybe the sound itself got a bit less important. infact i
was talking about that with the memner of the band today and
he's aware of that and said they really don't belong into
this experimental scene today, it's not their intention
either, but that they were quite into experimenting at the
beginings. personally i think they're going to do this show
to attract a bit more people, though their early music was
very good..still is infact :)

do you believe that the mind is nothing more than neurons
and chemicals, or is there something more?

why do you have to release things for people you don't even
know, when you should have been making music for yourself
and your true friends?

I have a question. How does a perrson come to terrms with
things he's done in the past, and nearr past, that
contrradict how he views himself in the verry prresent?

"by understanding that we are not made of stone but are
constantly evolving and developing"?

this went alright! he's a really nice guy to talk to..very
friendly and talkative, though if i would have to do a
proper interview with them i'd need at least couple of weeks
to get it ready i think.
he sort of implied there's a possibility they would do a
more experimental album again which i look forward to
dearly..it's almost like if for example einsturzende
neubauten would start doing pop music after first couple of
albums and then after 20 years decide to do their more
experimental thing again. i think i might fall in love with
the band again :) especially now that im getting into this
experimental john cage and music concrete type of music and
noise, industrial and all that..woo

and i don't have any questions for those yet :) and i can't
get to it as i have a bunch of other work right now..jav
