Does anyone know where I can get some samples from the album Thnder Perfect Mind? Thanks. I've been thinking about buying it recently, but I wanna hear a bit of it first. If you have anything to say about them, go ahead, I'm all ears.

It's the only C93 album I come back to. Of course it has its share of bad Tibet's singing, but the atmosphere makes up for it.
Have you listened to the samples at durtro.com?

Oh, thanks, I didn't realize that durtro had samples on their shop page. Anyway, have you heard Nurse With Wound's Soliquy for Lilith? Or any other related artists/stuff that you would recommend?

Actually I'm an NWW mp3 tycoon. Stapleton almost fully satisfies my craving for experimental stuff, but I could recommend Baschet brothers and Henri Chopin. But why Soliloquy? Do you have some special liking for this release.

I've heard that it is a 3 disc album of ambience, is that correct? Is it a bad album?

Check out Nature and Organisation- Beauty Reeps the Blood of Solitude, a Michael Cashmore project very much in the vein of a lot of his work with Tibet... in fact, Tibet's on a couple of tracks. Definitely my favorite Current 93 offshoot, touches on the folk, classical, and avant-garde aspects. Stapleton's Earthmonkey project is pretty cool too, some electronic/ambient/Kraut influence.

Not bad, but kind of empty. Too little happens, but if you like long drones with nothing else, it's a good choice. Sadness of Things and Man With a Woman Face are much better.

Okay, thanks, yeah the 'soliloquy' samples are pretty dull now that you mention it... out of all the samples on durto, the ones from current 93 seem to impress me the most, 'Whilst the night rejoices' and 'a sadness song' sounded good to me.
Nurse With Wound's 'sheela-na-gig' is just painful sounding, I tend to like stuff with pianos and strings. Is the stuff you mentioned like that?

Ophecks, I can't find the album you mentioned... is Michael Cashmore the artist name?
QRDL, those albums seem to be out of circulation.

my favourite current 93 albums
-thunder perfect mind -of rune of some blazing starre -sleep has his house (lots of harmonium) -all the pretty little horses -halo (live album) all are folk orientated
"dawn", "dogs blood rising", "nature unveiled", "I have a special plan" are dark and atmospheric.
The second half of "imperium" contains some great dark songs
"Swasticas for goddy" and "christ and the pale queens" are a bit mad. "Island" features mainly synths by HOH(some awful songs on this one but also some good ones).
