white absorbs all light and black propells all light. there's one brain "abnormality" called synesthesia where people sometimes hear, taste or feel colours or other things that normal people normally don't hear, taste or feel. one of the most famous musician in iceland has this disease/abnormality/anomolie/whatever (this isn't really a disease though because it doesn't really affect people's daily live). he claims he, for instance, sees tones in different colours. for some people with synesthesia the letter A, or any one letter for that matter, always has one analytic colour. because of this people have been able to study this and have seen that, at least with people who see some letters always in the same colour, they aren't faking it. this is thought to happen in the ratio of 1/25.000, if i remember correctly, and people with it vary immensely from one to the other. here's a wikipedia article . and another, , for people who are interested. |

Supposedly there are only 5 primary tastes and every individual taste sensation is a combination of these, also experienced by the smell and texture. So I guess if you can flood your mouth with all 5 tastes so much that all taste receptors are activated at once, that is the taste equivalent of white light. Black would be the taste of nothing, no stimulation of receptors so you would need some sort taste receptor blocking compound. |
