Here are two little jazz/hip-hop/jungle influenced segments I am working on. I plan to structure more around this one, maybe some guitar lines. I want to work my way from the center of the track, out. A different way of going about it, but it might turn out good.
And then there is this 4 measure loop, which may sound like something used for a clip between scenes on some design show with two gay men for hosts. I don't know what to do with it.
Comments are welcome.

well.. this wasn't what I normally listen to, but...
the first one.. well, I wouldn't go for guitar, as that would just make it extremely cliché. the second one was ok. I'm guessing that weird ring on the first one is from mp3-compression or something...
how is this unconventional?

Sorry, when I said "rubbish" I meant "sounds passable, but too short to make any judgements and, if they were longer, I don't know if they'd be my cup of tea. They sound like royalty free music clips for use on tv links. This isn't neccesarily a bad thing, but, you know... I don't know".
