Retropublik presents :

The Jaffa Kid - Electrone Night Clubs

Since I've recieved notice that the Jaffa Kid is going to be
on Retropublik, I've been listening to this release. I've
heard his stuff on EKT quite a few times, which was always a
treat, and I recall that he ranked in the top five of the
(in)famous Project168 v1. Opening with a track full of
straining synths and alien vocals samples and then moving on
through with grooving beats and other-worldly melodies, it's
definately something I will be listening to for some time to
come.

In other words, go check it out, it's good.

the embedded player is a great idea. Lets people hear the
music without going to the bother of downloading an entire
zip to get a taste.

Some of this sounds like the Detroit-y neo techno I like
these days so yes I will download and give it a closer
listen. First impression - competent beatwork on the tracks
where it's less busy. Restraint is a good thing.

I don't like sausage of any kind, excluding Italian.

what's that dude's name again? All I remember is it's
something utterly narcissistic sounding.

Fabio. He used to have a TV series, or at least he appeared
in the opening credits standing near a pool holding a cell
phone. Also his head is magnetic to seagulls.

Shit fuck! I dig the Jaffa Kid. I think I know where this
young spunker's coming from, he's like a tame Grinning Ape,
but his heart's in it. So, without knowing the bloke, or
wanting to come over all WATMM, I'd say, for once, believe
the hype, visit The Jaffa Kid over there at retropublik
and maybe even cast an ear at the project 168 Melody Membrane
which is almost as good. NICE!
