I edited one of Boards Of Canadas all time favourite movies Zabriskie Point. I think the visuals and the pics fit as good as BOC said....they imagined the album to be like that movie. They mentioned in a lot of TCH interviews that both the visuals and almost the whole theme of TCH is like the road movie Zabriskie Point (by the way, excellent movie).. |

i have a prob with most music videos because hmm how do i put this i kinda have thoughts and natural memories or images in my head when listening to a song (they may not be ACTUAL images, but a mesh or just ,,, you know what i mean) then when i watch a music video someone made, i try not to for songs i REALLY like (vordhosbn) because ill watch the vid a bunch of times, go "cool" .... then later on ill be listening to just the song and subconsciously ill "lose" all my natural images in my head and the images from the music video will creep in once this happens it's very difficult to tear them out of your mind hence why im not a huge fan of electronic music videos but this one is right up my alley for how i felt/saw the song in my head i shouldnt have no problems watching this over ^^^ and that, is what makes a good video now, i have to see this movie :) |

yeah, i'm exactly the same way! For songs with lyrics it doesn't much matter because they are already pretty much telling you what to think about the song. but with electronic music, you get to let your mind make the music video. and like you said, once you see a real music video for the song, you kind of lose whatever images/emotions you thought of for the song. |

a lot of people say that and that seems reasonable, but i have never had this experience where a music video ruined a song for me. i can't remember music videos ever changing my opinion of a song, except for the better. i have great memories of watching music videos... |
