The whole thing with chavs or scallies or whatever, is not that they're "trash" or working class, it's that they have no taste or work ethic. My dad grew up dirt-poor and still managed to work a few decent jobs, become a mod and have excellent satorial taste. There are plenty of middle class people who dress like twats, and behave like annoying holier-than-thou losers. (Like beardy art teachers or liberals for example). That's what you've got to understand about Britain, the people who hate chavs the most are the ones who work their bollocks off in blue collar jobs, still pay shitloads of tax, and have to live in the same street as the fuckers. |
