I have heard many stories, and have a few friends who have experienced it, but I never got my hands on any myself. I did try DPT which is similar, but it has a propyl group instead of a methyl group, hence the name. it was a quite surreal experience, but as i understand, nowhere near as profound as a DMT experience. |

businessman's drug. You can get fucked on your lunchbreak and be fine not long after. I got some last year, it was ok but you got to be precise about the dosage, else you get fuck all from it. i got pretty much fuck all from it :( |

yeah, smoked it a few years back, good visuals, knocked on my arse for 10 or so minutes, then ok. needed more, i guess, to really get fucked up (which basically sums up my days as a drug pig) |

what's more novice is, in college, we tried growing it. it took all year and then we harvested it and extracted it and smoked this tar that just tasted bad and didn't do anything for us. it tasted really bad too. like fucking up the way everything else tastes for a few hours bad. i think it was called Phalaris aquaticus |

ahem: DMT, which is broken down by the digestive enzyme monoamine oxidase, is inactive if taken orally, unless combined with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). The shamanic potion ayahuasca, or yage, is a tea-like admixture of the boiled leaves, bark or roots of a variety of plants, usually including Psychotria viridis which contains high levels of DMT, and Banisteriopsis caapi which contains harmala alkaloids which are powerful MAOIs. A common source in the western US is Reed canary grass or Phalaris arundinacea. This invasive grass contains high levels of DMT and other alkaloids . Taken orally with an appropriate MAOI, DMT produces a long lasting (over 1 hour), slow onset, high intensity experience. MAOI should be used with extreme caution as they can make common over the counter drugs and foods toxic. Induced DMT experiences can include profound time-dilation, time travel, journeys to paranormal realms, and encounters with spiritual beings or other mystical/trans-dimensional modalities that, by most first hand accounts, defy verbal or visual description. In a 1988 study conducted at UNM, psychiatrist Rick Strassman found that approximately 20% of volunteers injected with high doses of DMT had experiences identical to purported Alien Abductions. |

i believe that reed canary grass contains mostly 5-methoxydimethyltryptamine, which is for all practical purposes legal in the us. the experience is similar to dmt, but with little visual effects and more shock (in a nutshell). i've been waiting for dmt to come to me for some time. maybe i'm waiting on the wrong block. |
