wow that's great - i wish they stayed open later here - its bizarre that america has such a stance on alcohol - bars in philly close at 2am, which is fine cause i get drunk around 9pm and usually can't stand up or talk at 2am but 24hr pubs would be sweet !!! i gotta move |

yer and some london clubs open till like 3 or 4 i think but they ahve special late lisences this new law means anyold pub can open when it likes also means i wont have to worry about gettiung to asda before 11 pm instead i can go late night shopping for booze and munchies |

the normal closing time 'round here is 03, but I don't know how legislation is on it.. there are places open until 04 and probably even later.. I think it's more a case of the employees being tired than it is law... |

i doubt that many pubs will be open that long, i reakon it will just eman your regular pubs open longer liek till say 2, i dunno i cants ee em staying open the full 24 hours, not many pubs anyway |

my worry is it will be like the brittish with sunshine. You know the britt whos ees a tiny bit of sunshine and decides thats warrant enough for a g string and a hanky hat. Britts abroad always come back RED RAW from over indulgence. it will be the same with the bars people will start waking up at 4am and going for a wuick pint or trying to stay in the bar for two days... infact if the said pub served food you could live there for a fair while hahaha tramps will be moving in |

well ive drunk for 24 hours straight before started in teh bar at midday gone home at 2 to carry on drinking then stayed drunk till miday and figured a pub meal and a pint was a good idea. admittedly that wa sonce but its deffo doable |

I think the next couple of years are going to be messy as people adapt to the new drinking hours. The thing is though, they've got to sort out transport, so people can leave and get home easily, instead of congregating in packs, hanging about afterwards, pissed up to the tits at some grim little taxi office, or all piling on the bus that turns up every 2 hours. One of the good things here is it's always dead easy to get a cab, at any hour. They're all licensed, cheap, always around outside any bar or club. I think, something like that, would be useful in Blighty. |

Bars close at 2am here and 2:30am on weekends. If you know the people you can squeeze a 3 out of it and for Pattys day i knew a bar that was open until 9am. Chicago goes until 4 in the am. A 24 hour drinking challenge can be done but needs preperation. And i dont mean 1 beer an hour either. I am refering to a drinkers pace. |
