EPR effect! Classic quality material!

Rephlex just restored me.

End.

Let this be the anti-Camphire Headphase thread, where we all
agree very quickly to disagree, in a very gentlemanly
fashion, with no hystrionics.

Variables is completely brilliant.

There is nothing i can put in to words though. Its one of
those albums that just strike me as good off that bat. Like
absolutely no disappointment occurs whatsoever leaving me
feeling great.

I think its quite better than the first one which really had
one song that i really really liked. This one has about four
I instantly grabed on to.

I am glad you are enjoying it. However, it doesn't really
float my boat I'm afraid.

I am pleased that it makes you happy.

have you checked the Der Zyklus: Biometry album yet?

I am glad that you all are finding this either a good or a
bad album, but I haven't heard it, so for the moment I
cannot comment.

However, I am pleased that you all are capable of discussing
whether you did or did not like it.

I wasn't impressed with the first one repeating itself, but
I greatly enjoyed the John Carpenter-esque 80s soundtrack
stylings. The new one is quite different, bit of ambience,
bit of low key techno, my terms of reference no one elses,
but a great overall atmosphere, which is what I liked about
the first one as well, in spite of my previously stated
reservation.

I do like how the mysterious men behind these records get
away with such minimalism but so.. well. . crafted, it's a
joy to listen to and any extra sounds would just be
superfluous to requirements.

Never heard of it i think. Are there good samples up
somewhere?

I would just like to add that there is no way I could be
impressed with this album, or any artistic developement that
the said artist may have undergone, because I have not heard
this album, nor have I heard any of the previous albums.

As a matter of fact, I probly should not be posting in this
thread at all. Have a good day.

Dead on! The atmosphere really got me. It was like a vaccuum
or some dead empty space with just "pure and real" sounds. I
dont know how else to describe it. Also it really keeps the
same overall vibe throughout.

Also i forgot which track was in the first one that had
vocals.... but that was an instant turn off. I dont like
vocals in electronic unless they are some sort of retro
sampling throwback... as seen in BOC's first two and
especially geogaddi (leslie neilson sample) but thats just
my style.

I was inspired to work my way through all my Japanese
Telecom stuff after you mentioned them.

My top track is "Japanese Animation." Hunt that one down if
you haven't got it yet....

I posted about this a while back. Love, love love this
record, I was listening to it just this morning. Truly
outstanding stuff. It'll probably sit on my turntable until
POP shows up in the mail (any day now).

Have you tried my Arpanet Mix? It makes things a little
more interesting.
