I'm thinking these guys are amazing. For some reason, I
can't get enough lately. Quickly becoming my favorite
artists.

Q: Curious, who here likes Autechre more than Aphex?

BTW, Sean Booth is hot.

well i must admit autechre´s cds have been more time in my
cd player than aphex´s... but now i am turning back to
aphex though.
the thing with autechre is that when you start you can´t
stop ...they kind of hypnothise you ...this feeling is so
stronge with ep7 and confield!

I have 15 releases by autechre and 15 by aphex...so they are
tight LOL
actually we ve talked a lot about this ...but aphex is a bit
more ....well a lot more varied.... but autechre have never
made an step backwards...always evoluting (i ve sayed this
so many times) they seem to reach pefection with every
release and then again they go further with a new
one...where will they get...who knows?

you will believe me...you will love confield sooner or
later...and then you will spend all your time or money in
getting all their releases

Ironlung...comes as fast as wind... he has a boc and ae
detector inside his brain... no ae&boc posts scape from him
:-)
I love them too Ironfriend

though your list is just the opposite to mine...

i find it too hard to distinguish between the two.

I'd put them on equal footing - pending on mood - swings
either way - at the mo - Ae outweighs Afx

AFX or AE? very difficult to say, these guys are so
different. Just opinion of course, but i like AFX much more
than autechre. Autechre is OK, cool guys, but AFX is really
genious, extremely variated. Every AFX-release is totally
apart, which you can not say from Autechre.

I think Ae has definite changes from one release to the
next. Incubala is nothing like Tri Repetae which is
completly different from LP5 and confield is different from
them all. Their musical progression may be easier to follow
than aphex's, but there is still alot of varience. Just a
thought.

confield was particually dissapointing but the rest is
amazing especially the earlier stuff on the AI series and
their early albums. Start with Amber, is my favourite

I dunno, I don't own THAT much Autechre, but I know that
Chiastic Slide is better then any Aphex Twin album I own...
but don't get me wrong, Aphex Twin is still awesome!!!!
