i typed in 'aphex twin', and have been listening to a stream
of great stuff for the last few hours.. most of which i have
never heard.. it's pretty amazing this thing is finding
music i've never heard, yet i like 80+% of it.

you can give tracks thumbs-up or thumbs-down, like tivo, and
it will adjust it's programming automatically based on your
input. at the beginning i thumb'd down 3 tracks that weren't
so great, but since then, it's been solid.

a note: it will ask you to register (email, zip code,
password) after 5 tracks. just put in whatever, it doesn't
validate it, or even make you check your email. and despite
what it says about ads, i haven't heard one yet.. minimal
effort for what it does. i'm impressed.. and a little scared
that a machine is this good at picking music i enjoy..

yeah, i'm quite impressed so far. the suggestions get
better as you train it.

i'm amused - legowelt isn't in there, but ochre is (go
xlt!).

pretty much everybody i've spoken to so far says after a
while, pretty much every track it throws at you, they like

my music taste must be a little bizarre, because after
training it with perhaps 20 or 30 songs now i'm only liking
about 1/6 of what it's giving me. it's still very cool,
though.

haha, I just got "It's taking longer than expected to figure
out the perfect song to play next." It's been hanging there
for about 5 minutes now.

wonder if it's server load or it's thinking WTF at my
choices

It scares me a bit too. It makes me feel like giving up
listening to music.

its well dense alright....the first squarepusher it played

cool
shit after that

as a human being, you're probably a much simpler being than
you realise.

i know what you're getting at; the fact music taste (or art
taste) can be accurately calculated is worrying, but, oh
well. it's finding good music, at least. it's working
pretty well for me now, most songs it's played in the past
hour have been decent.
