well, it appears i am but not because i want to be. it's
just that the music i enjoy the most might seem a bit
snobbish.

what's the central authority that determines the relative
snobbishness of musics?

nar that doesn't make you a snob, say if you only listen to
electro and hear say techno and go pah that's rubbish, then
that's snobby

but if you think you are a snob they, what do i know ?

There's no genre I actively dislike on principle and I can't
think of a single genre where I don't like at least one
track. I also don't object to a song just because it's pop,
provided it's good. So I'd say no, I'm not a music snob.

i guess i'm a bit of a hippy, and a buddhist, so i have no
prejudices, if it doesn't please my ears, i just ignore it
:)

i have no time for put downs :P

if snobbishness means criticizing people for their music
tastes, i'd prefer to not be a snob. but i'm sure i slip up
from time to time.

no i'm not. i'm very open and discover about 1 new artist a
week. music is great.

but i play only one pc game and don't want to try others -
cause i'm happy with this one game cause i can add lots and
lots of plugins and mods to it, so it never gets boring to
me.

so i'm a game snob.

i don't know... when some people tell me that what i listen
to is crap, i'd question my own taste before questioning
theirs; but when i find some people listening to some music
i find utter shit, i'll question their taste before
questioning my own. : |

listening to a lot of shit.

i don't really hold snobby opinions on artists bar a few,
and i have my reasons.but other than that i like 90% of the
stuff i hear, i do get pretty definsive when people question
my taste but i try to avoid confrontations like that by
mentioning an artist that they might like insted of some odd
ball

I'm a music snob, but I won't slate people for listening to
whatever they want to. But if people slate my taste in
music, it is sometimes a little different...

I kind of was a few years ago, I'd give some people a hard
time about their taste and try to convert them to be more
like me. Nothing in particular happened to change my ways,
but I've improved and I've sort of gotten into ''if you
can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all''
mindset. I still don't really want to associate with anyone
that isn't serious about music though, but I don't project
that outwardly anymore.

i very seldom put people's tastes down (and when i do it's
often not on purpose), but i love enough music (of all
stripes) to hate a lot too... and for some reason that makes
me a snob. mostly i will admit, because people don't take
into account the part about me really loving a lot of
music... and also because if you like stuff that's really
weird than that automatically means that you turn your nose
up at everything else or something...

but shit, i mean if i'm not a music snob... then who is?
fucking hell. i guess i must be.
