Does anybody here still make music? Or are y'all sissy,
listen-only types? Remixing starts in about a week--

battleofthebits.org

I'm a whoreable lurker. Can you forgive me, oh mighty
denizens of once Twin only fandom?

what?

Battle of the Bits is a hosting grounds for community
open source remix culture. As an interweb sociological
experiment Battle of the Bits shall provide a growing
environment of functionality for the audiophile players who
find and choose to interact within it.

The site is in an infantile stage right now. Expect updates
throughout...

what the hell are they talking about? it's in an infantile
stage all right... they should hire someone who isn't
sixteen and trying to sound smarter than he really is to
write their FAQ.

criticism is good

should it just say-
This is a website. We host remix competitions. This site
is constantly under construction.

would that be better?

i still don't know what a remix competition is, though.

Oh & good point.

Remix competitions are commonly as follows: A set of audio
samples, a timeframe, and a set of rules are made available
to the public. People show up, take all that, and come back
with an original audio track. Then any user can vote/rate
the tracks to help find the best tracks.

For some reason we had decided to keep things cryptic. It's
starting to not make sense all of a suddon.

The users also submit samples and vote/rate them too...
