Ive got a possible dj slot coming up in a students union
one Saturday night, in what is being reffered to as a 'VIP
Lounge'. As I understand it, its just a chill out room with
some snacks (and a chocolate fountain apparently) and seats
that you pay a little extra to get access to.

Suggest me some ideas, I don't want to IDM it much or play
anything too dancey and I probably wont be very loud either.
I was thinking maybe some of the more understated Analord
tracks, Four Tet... Nightmares On Wax... hmmm

Could you explain any better what you mean? I didn't catch
Doyobi but I'll try and dig up the download link. Thanks

well, i don't know what that kind of music is called..i have
lots of it but it is all quite obscure and odd
sounding..fits real well in a ambient/chill out sort of set
though. you just mix ambient layers with odd sounding stuff,
electronica, improvisational even jazzy stuff..lots of
things fit into sets like that which makes them awesome to
listen to seating down.

Phylyps track 2 - Maurizio
T plays it cool - Marvin Gaye
Dancing in outer space - Atmosphere
Bounce, Rock, Skate - Naughan Mason & crew
Hippy, skippy, moon street - The Moon people

+ soulfinger

these are just for the ladies to get up but that equals a
top party.

check out "deliverance" (an ep) by Scorn, its sort of
industrial meets dub in a sunny park one day and cos its
such a nice day they put aside their differences for the
afternoon and hang out and smoke pot together....

Its my classic sitting on the lawn with mates drinking beer
album
