The Bug/Ragga question

At raves, and on some Kid 606/Venetian Snares albums I
have, there are tracks which I think are called "ragga" in
style (sorry for the stupidity, I don't know much about
these genres.) The Bug also do what I'm after-just that raw
grimey thing with fast beats and an MC.

I want to get some vinyls which purely concerntrate on that
sound, as all I have is The Bug's "Pressure" and other
tracks from artists that don't usually specialize in that
style. What are some good artists/compilation records that I
could get? Thanks.

Try Kid Kameleon and the people at Shockout Records and
Mashit Records.

For just straight-forward riddim acts (used/remixed a lot by
fellows like Kid606, DJ/Rupture, Ove-Naxx and their ilk)
catch:

Ward 21
Bling Dawg
Capleton
Lady Saw
Beenie Man
Wayne Marshall
Mad Cobra
Vybz Kartel
Sizzla

Hope this is the kind of stuff you're talking about.

Thanks a lot.

I just got some decks, and I've been wanting to get into
this stuff for ages...

I'll be checking all this stuff out. :)
