im listening to track 2 on bitches brew and it reminds me,
structure wise, of a lot of squarepusher bass / piano
jams...

check it out halfway through - which is no joke on a ~30 min
track

let me know what you think !

given that its one of the most famous jazz albums ever, and
that squarepusher probably gets at least a bit of influence
from jazz - its not the most astounding of discoverys

didn't Tom say in some interviews that he grew up listening
to a lot of fusion? it definitely seems to have inspired
MIRON.

there's an up and coming bassist named jaco pastorius that
sounds like he picked up a lot from squarepusher.

im not trying to attack squarepusher or discredit
anyone...im just listening to miles at work and figured i
would start an interesting conversation NOT based around
virginpusher or BOC

I just realised, I don't know what Virginpusher thinks of
the new BOC.

I havent heard 00:01 of it. I stayed away because i heard so
much negitivity. I didnt want it to ruin them for me. I
suppose I might get around to it one day but i am having
loads of fun trying to dig up other things.

Bitches Brew is amazing. I prefer Squarepusher by far; he
seems to have more of a sense of direction.

It reminds me that I watched a Jaco Pastorius instructional
interview video this morning that I got from like,
torrentspy or some such business, and really Jaco Pastorius
was right on time, man, he was really communicating
effectively giving credence to the interviewer's own trip it
was nuts.

when i played music is rotted one note for my dad, who is a
big jazz enthusiast, he thought there were a few of the same
artists playing on miron as on bitches brew.

i had a fun time telling him he was dead wrong.
