I didn't really laugh at this as much as I thought "do these
words still make sense?"

then another question came to mind.. have some of these
words truly been "disarmed?" this is a common media strategy
when one (typically politicians) want to justify something
they're doing: they'll use a word excessively and in
everyday situations and normal people will more or less get
used to the word and the word becomes more and more accepted
into the persons everyday vocabulary. Now, as we all know,
everday things are more easily accepted by people as being
actual things (as opposed to things in "radical new
research"), and it thus makes it easier to justify an action
just by using this word; people will (subconsciously or
unknowingly/unwillingly) accept that something is
true when based on things that are so common to everyone
that it must exist. I'm not good at phrasing myself
here, but I hope you get what I mean, and manage to answer
the (implicit or explicit (the first one)) question, as I
wouldn't be able to see which words have been implanted into
my vocabulary like this.. people find american politics more
interesting, and can thus be bothered doing things like
this.. norwegian politics is less interesting on a worldwide
scale, so "seeing it from the outside" is hard. I do hope,
though, that I am aware of a few of the words here, as I did
not vote for "fremskrittspartiet" (which is.. well.. it's
for stupid people).

also, have you noticed other words "they" use excessively?
