Can!

Any Can fans here? I first got into them when Vegard (Sclah
on the boards) hooked me with with their splendid LP "Ege
Bamyasi". I guess they fall into the "Kraut Rock" genre, but
I'm not really sure about what that implies. It's basically
funky, jazzy rock with a really unique feel to it. After a
while I've gotten a hold of Tago Mago and Monster Movie as
well, both brilliant albums in their own right.

Can on All Music Guide!

Bonus 1 minute flash with an old recording of Beck doing a
cover of Can's "I'm so green"here.

i LOVE Tago Mago and LIKE Monster Movie + a few other
tracks, like "blue bag".

They're classic.

Can have the greatest drummer known to man. Keeping his shit
so tight over a twenty minute track is no mean feat!

Awesome band
"Future Days" is also a great album. It's a bit more mellow
than the three mentioned in the first post.

I saw Damo Suzuki live in Liverpool a few months ago. The
set included lots of improv and droning. I wasn't familiar
with his solo material but I was entranced anyway, the music
sort of pulled you in if you know what I mean.

Can rocks, especially Ege Bamyasi. Those beats are so fresh.

Tolstoyed, have you ever heard of Anze Kopitar? I think he's
the first Slovenian ever drafted to the NHL, or thereabouts.
