Gyroscore --- when whomever is spitting off numbers, reminds me of Pi (movie) where max is going crazy with one of this migranes or whatever, and is spitting off the 216digit number
Alpha and Omega --- that flute reminds me of The Cell (the flute in that movie) so much

when I listen to Music is Math, it reminds me of last night when I listened to it... strangely enough, it's the same with Alpha and Omega, and 1969...

WHOW, Boards of Canada remind me of my KINDERGARDEN Days, when I took a outdoor holliday with my "KINDERGARDEN CLASS" somewhere in the CZECH REPUBLIC......that was around 1986...and we even had a camp fire.....

I never really got the whole nostalgic thing with MHTRTC... sure, it was kinda nostalgic, but not that much for me... now mind you, I did, and still do think the album is genious, but Geogaddi is very nostalgic I think... especially The Beach at Redpoint... it reminds me of nice memories...

a lot of the tracks remind me of the virgin suicides...the way that movie was shot gives it a real nostalgic feel...thats probably partly because it was based in the 80's..or 70's?
but it also has a lot of those sunlight lens flares and little details like that ..that movies and tv shows from the 70's and 80's had...as does boc's album art..

thats an interesting observation! i lovvvve virgin suicides, but i have to be 'in the mood' to listen cos it's kinda a downer. but i can see what you mean about that certain 'era' you're talking about. Geogaddi is so fabulous, so intricate......*puts in on now* =]
