I love the Internet, where you can get fucking tired of
hearing about an album before it's even out.

I'm totally agree with you anyway, I got tired of hearing
all this, really. When I'll have this album in my hands I
hope I won't be how I'm feeling right now.

this morning I was about to buy the re release of mhtrtc and
the special edition of geogaddi, luckily I reacted soon
enough as to not spend my money in albums I already have...
but I was tempted...

it sounds like you should be able to put together quite an
awesome xlt radio show by the end of the week.. if you
really wanted to, that is...

Yeah, plus I've got all sorts of "soundboard" recordings of
non-IDM "bands" to taunt people with.

But you've made a good point, I believe which is.... I know
it'd be a lot of work but wouldn't it be nice if there was
some structure to XLT radio, ideally it would be good to
have set shows at set times, it needn't be a full schedule,
you could have the usual playlist going, but at set times,
certain shows with loose (or strict) themes of, well non-IDM
(i know it sounds stupid that idea, but there's lots of
great suggestions in that thread that I think a lot of
people would enjoy), retrospectives, movements, labels... I
don't know.. I think there is an opportunity to develop the
radio there, I think. But then, I don't know what Phobo's
plan is for the future, and it's still early days for the
radio, I'm just, you know, saying.

yeah, themed shows could be pretty good.. though the "at set
times" thingie doesn't seem to work for xlt.. there should,
however, not be any "strictly IDM" policy for the radio
shows (even though it IS a site for "xltronic music." I'd
love to do a minimal, hip-hop or jazz show some time, and
I'd definately tune into a show of the same type.

it'd be awesome if Sam did a half hour strictly scratch
show! it's actually quite nice to listen to him just playing
with the vinyls...

Haha, it's just like me : sometimes when i find in
recordstores awesome releases that i already have, i'm
tempted to buy them again ! Especially when I see the vinyl
edition when i have the CD.
