Same as giginger, I dig only Aquarius. Bubblegum music sums
up the rest.

The problem is that The Books and Animal Collective suck
imo, whereas BoC have ALWAYS been top quality. I don't
understand how people can say BoC haven't changed their
sound with Geogaddi compared to MHTRTC.

To my mind BoC is eveything except bubblegum or
simple music. But I recognise it's not really easy to love
without deep listenings.

And deep listening is what you do and I don't, right?

i agree with combo, there's a sickly sweet sinister thing
going on in most of BOC's tracks, even the 'nicest' sounding
ones. i used to wonder if it was deliberate but on reading
interviews it's clearly what they intend. if you can't hear
it, it's probably because you need your 'sinister' to be
laid out on a plate for you, a-la drill'n'bass.

i do like the way they make their music reminiscent of
something and i like how they tie their artwork into it
too.

they found a niche and it works for me.

i also like mixing boc with other stuff to produce
soundscapes for putting my brain in another place.

the trees in my neighborhood are changing color, they look
like the leaves on the upper branches have been dipped in
red, yellow and orange paint. as the sun goes down they
become shadowy silhouettes.
