wow.. i can't believe no one of you mentioned one of the
belgium trapist beers.. you have to check them out.. they
are exported in the whole world for their fame.. they are
killers.. you drink 3 of them and you ll be happy.. 5 of
them are enough for a coma if you are not used to drink this
stuff.. the alcohol percentage diversifies from 8-12% ..

Chimay 5/5
Triple Westmalle 5/5
Kwak 5/5 (not a trapist beer but incredibly tasty because of
the special GLASS it is in)
Leffe
Duvel

Jacobsen Bramley Wit: 4/6. Belgian style wheat beer with
weird flavourings added. One to start the day on a hot day
is awesome, but you can't get drunk off it as the taste can
sort of wear you out.

Nøgne Ø Havrestout: 4/6. Dark and sirupy. Kind of sweet
like christmas beer. Also, they use algae for yeast which
just sounds cool.

Hansa pilsner: 3/6. It's not really a good tasting beer, or
a beer that really tastes anything outside of just beer, but
that's what makes it so great; this is what you get drunk
off if you are a student and don't have much money but
doesn't want to go as low as Tuborg (Norwegian Tuborg is NOT
Danish Tuborg).

Oslo Mikrobryggeri Indian Pale Ale: 6/6. One of the best
IPAs I've had! It takes a while from you order it to they
have it drawn (5-10 minutes), but it's well worth it! When
your mouth touches the foam, it's like there's nothing
there!

Greene King IPA: 5/6. I like IPAs, and this is one of those
that seems to be available almost anywhere that has more
than the standard bar beer.

Erdinger Weissbier Dunkel: 4/6. Good weissbier, easily
available in most places, plus the taste allows getting
drunk!

since fully delving into the glorious world of alcoholism,
ive had month long boners for the lagunitas brewing company
in california. they brew fuckin big, their beers averaging
somewhere around 8%. all of the following are lagunitas
brews:

maximus ipa - 3.5/5 - i only really enjoyed this beer in the
last couple weeks or so, a real summer drink. loaded (and i
mean loaded) with hops, its hard to drink in any environment
thats not warm and sunny. luckily for the summer they sell
it in six packs, as opposed to the rest of the year when its
only sold in 22 oz bottles, much like most of their special
brews. 7.5% abv.

kronik/censored - 4/5 - a not-quite-dark but not-quite-light
so-called copper ale, the name had to be changed due to its
ties with marijuana society. goes down easy, while still
having good flavor. best enjoyed with a fresh bowl of
greens.

undercover investigation shut down ale (limited release) -
5/5 - they brew this every spring season, commemorating when
the entire brewery was shut down for 20 days when the
presence of marijuana was discovered. extra extra bitter and
highly alcoholic, this is a sipping beer for sure. very
strong taste, lotta red flavors in there, similar to their
other limited released lucky 13 red. sold in 22 oz bottles,
buy as many of these as you can whenever you see it, because
chances are the next time wont be for a while. 9.2% abv.

I really have to try different beers at the same time to
taste what distinguishes them. My taste memory(?) hasn't
developed enough for me to be able to evaluate one beer in a
single tasting.

IPAs are propably my favourite beer category as well. The
IPA from Trondheim Mikrobryggeri is delicious.

Yeah, I know what you mean.. A/B'ing is the best way to go,
but I just remember what I thought of the beer when I drank
it. I can't remember the taste at all, but I know that when
I drank polish 2 zloty (4 kroner) beer, it tasted crap.
Polish 2 zloty beer: 0/6.

Duvel: 5/6. Rich flavour.

Nøgne Ø Wit: 5/6. Good wit beer. Stronger and darker than
the Jacobsen Bramley Wit.

Most of it's good, but Ø#100 isn't worth 100 kroner for
half a litre.

Yeah, spitfire is good.. it's one of those you can get drunk
off too! 4/6

Leffe Brune: 4/6.
