Wich iPod, or other mp3 player?

Ok, well besically I don´t know what I need. I need good
sound quality but I will spend 49€ on Sennheiser PX100
anyway.
The alternatives are for me:
iPod shuffle 512mb ~100€
iPod mini 2nd gen, 4gb, 18h accu 209€
iPod 20gb, 8h accu ~300€
iPod 20gb colour, 15h accu 319€
I am mostly thinking of the mini, because of the price, and
because I think I don´t want to spend all my time loading
my whole music collection onto an 20gb... anyway do you
really need a colour screen on a mp3 player? And what about
the mini, does it have poor sound quality, tell, thoose who
have it!
And hmm, any really good other alternatives out, there, I
know there all, but they all just look so bad :P

i got a 20GB on amazon, new, for like $230. it's not the
color, but it's 4th generation.

it's pretty good.

The mini is nice. Transferring songs doesn't really take
that long. You'll need USB 2.0 or firewire on your
computer.

Like epohs I have a 20GB 4th gen, and it's perfectly fine
for my needs. You never know when you'll want the extra
storage.

yeah, i don't really have any complaints at all except
iTunes is a bastard. oh, and i scratched the screen a
little bit because i'm careless.

I really like iTunes! no prob with usb 2 tho. I have no
Visa, so it´s a little problematic when it comes to places
like amazon

ipod shuffle seems ridiculous to me. Correct me if I'm wrong
but isn't it just an mp3 player which is always set on
shuffle? That way you can't choose what song you want to
hear next...Nightmare!

iPod mini 2nd gen, 4gb, 18h accu 209€ seems the best
option.

about it too on cnet...

With firewire you don't have to wait that long and
besides...once you've put some music on it you won't change
it very quick because 20gb of mp3s is a LOT of music.

You don't need a colourscreen on a mp3 player at all.

You need to ask yourself if you really want to have all this
space.
I use 10gb for music and 10gb for back-up most of the time.

iPod 3th or 4th gen would be the best choice imo.

i got a 60gig ipod photo this spring. in retrospect the
photo part has proven to be fairly useless so far, but i
could maybe see using it in the future. i picked a 60gig
because the reason i wanted an mp3 player in the first place
was because i want to be able to play anything i want
whenever i want in my car on while i'm walking to school.
it's more than half full already and i'm sure it'll be full
eventually.

the only thing i dont like about it is carrying 500 bucks in
my pocket, granted i think the price dropped but it's still
a chunk of change for sure. i got different, less stupid
looking (not white, yuck), headphones for it because i like
to be as inconspicuous as possible.

well, I can´t get the old 20gb 4th edition, whitout a visa,
and they don´t sell one for a decent price up here in
finland...

I will probobly get the iPod Shuffle 1gb for 139€. I like
the idea of not having a display! And I have heard from many
sources it has stellar sound quality, better than any other
iPod, and even better than most mp3 players!

Take the iPod nano in consideration.
1000 songs. Impossibly small.
And it has the same features as the big iPod.

iPod nano is just impossible fragile - the shuffle is the
only iPod worth getting!

1 gig for 139 euros?

the creative player has 30 gigs for about 160 euros if you
look on ebay.

i got an ipod mini 6gb and its fantastic and its got very
good sound quality.and i really recommend you to buy Koss
Porta Pro headphones if you dont have decent ones.they are
comfortable and small but at the same time they have amazing
sound quality

Thanks, I don´t want a small bling bling color screen hip
gadget, I want the palyer with functionality and best sound
quality, therefor shuffle, I have no visa, so no ebay, and
need it for running, so I don´t want to wait.
axion: I think the sennheiser px100 are even better
according to www.headphone.com, sad I just can´t find
mine... damit 49€...
