Just to lighten the mood-

A while ago I posted a thread about my mum as she was on the
verge of death. Back then I was amazingly happy that she
even recognized me or could wave a hand at me.

According to a nurse, she had very, very low chances of
survival. With a blood clot going through her heart, blood
clots in her lungs, a dead infected large intestine, and two
strokes, it's not surprising they'd say that.

Anyway, now she's talking, perfectly there mentally, and
fully awake. She's paralyzed down one side, but her and us I
too overwhealmed at her survival to be negative about that.
It's at times like this that you see how great human nature
can be.

Sorry for such a personal post, I just felt happy as it was
her birthday today (quite a surreal sight seeing 10 people
together in a tiny ward with wine and a cake) and there have
been lots of negative posts in general. :-)

Congratulations on your 3000 points. If they're at all
worthy of celebration, I don't know. Depends on if you value
them or not, I guess. Anyway, that's a very nice break to
catch. I haven't had a parent quite at the claws of death
yet, but it's bound to happen eventually. I really dread it,
and it seems pretty bizarre in its inevitability. Must have
been an incredibly tough time.

Sometimes it takes the shitty things in life to remind you
how awesome it can be.

yeah thinking about the inevitability issue is quite nasty,
but almost everyone has to go through it.

Very true. It's odd how you can be happier now, when all
this is going on, then ever before-while your mum was well.
Obviously, you feel for them in their situation, but you
also learn a really vibrant appreciation for everything.

Anyway, that's enough emotionalism here now. Sorry. ;-)

Praise God Robert! I am glad to hear this! I will continue
to pray for her recovery 100%

Yeah, can we get back to the tune now? :-) I'm really up for
some music again. Got lots of things going on-one or two
live shows, a few bits and bobs on the new Grace Jones
album, a possible release, etc. It's all good.
