So, in AP Music theory we have to compose a track for a
commercial. Of course it wont be used on a real advert. I
want to do something real danceable but electronic sounding,
so I'm going for a Big Beat/Hip Hop feel. For the drum
sounds, all I have are some basic .wav files and loops. Can
anyone refer me some loops or sounds that are real thick
with a strong feel. Again, something like 'Big Beat' or
'Hip-Hop', maybe along the lines of the percission sounds in
Alberto Basalm. Thanks for your recommendations/links.

This is list of classic breaks. With wav and MP3 samples.

I like a few of these, (archived them all) but I'm still
looking for something different. Have you seen the McDonalds
commercial with the girl who eats the burger with her
pinkies extended? The beats on that are kind of like what
I'm searching for. Thanks though, I will keep the ones you
posted in mind.

You are looking for something bland and generic then?
(No diss intended, I just associate advert jingles with
"standard" music.)

No, it's got a real nice flow in the commercial. I don't
know if you are familiar with roygbivcore's track "Church
mouse thrift store", but he used a break called "34.wav" I
believe. I never got a link from him though. That's as best
as I can come to describing what I'm looking for.

I found some other similar stuff maybe you have heard of on
Breakbeat Paradise. It's a .zip file called
bb_rough_realdrummer_beats.zip

Gee, I'm more of a programmed beats kind of guy....
Couldn't you write something yourself?

I am, but I need some good sounds to use. I think I found
some great stuff though. Thanks for that link.
