My plan for us all.

Let's all work really hard on our music production skills
and write dancefloor slaying monster alterna-dance smashes.
That all get to number one and have kids all across the
country pretending they never liked the Libertines anyway.

Girls, Money and ridiculously expensive Skam rarities here
we come!

Let's make some fucking cold hard cash and fuck us some

This would be good because:

1. We would get laid more.
2. It would be sweet revenge on all the Indie types.
3. Jockey Slut could go into business.
4. It might even feel like we've moved on from the '90s.
5. Rich advertising people would give us free stuff.

At a Nirvana gig once a kid in the crowd shouted "Can't we
listen to Guns 'n' Roses and Nirvana?!" After Kurt Cobain
slagged the LA rockers off during a set.
Kurt was all like "No way, it's one or the other"

That's how I feel about electronic music and crappy NME
bands. You're either for innovation and music excellence, or
against it.

It's time to decide combo.

And after a brief spell of being fairly ok, as night follows
day, XLT is plunged again into overexcitable, unfunny,
embarrassing schoolboy mode.

Is embarrassing schoolboy mode the default XLT mode?

this can never happen because mainstream alt-dance artists
like the chemical brothers, the prodigy and daft punk didnt
know when to call it a day and started making shit dance
music and the masses stopped giving a shit

What happened to Daft Punk, and their flashy videos?`Where
are they now

Why don't we all make music with uninspired tweedy british
invasion guitars mixed with trashy oomp-tss dance
beats and a bunch of rappers going "Ye Ye Yeyeye Ye Ye"?
Throw a little flange over the breakdown, a few annoying
glitch-stutters on the 'Ye's and you'll have yourself a
fucking hit.

*walks to the corner wearing a dunce cap*

Heh... I hate this bullshit us vs them attitude when it
comes to underground and pop.

PS. The daft punk were one of the greatest innovators. That
was an example of underground coming up and slaying
everything in its path. Unfortunately, like so many good
artists, they decided to develop their sound, and on their
way grew a couple inches of mold.
