What good music are there from Japan? I´m looking for Electronic music, classical music, modern composition, musique concrete and traditional music. But prefeably somthing melodic or rhytmic, but anything that is really good is nice!
Yet I only know theese: Masami Akita(Merzbow), Susumo Yokota, Emi Maeda, other noise music and Ken Ishii

If you can, you should probably just visit Japan. I am really in love with their culture: their architecture, their sociology, etc.; it is really quite a beautiful nation.

Japan is pretty interesting but I would never live there because their way of working seems so intense. Also, I would probably convulse from being subjected to all the anime/manga/ARRRRGHTENTACLES!

i dig ryoji ikeda... he does minimal sine wave stuff. his matrix disc is like a 3d sound sculpture that beams into your room from your stereo, and changes depending on where you're standing.. it's slightly trippy. very very minimal though.. don't expect anything like songs

There was some crazy psychedelic/art-rock back in the 60s and 70s, Magical Power Mako is good and YB02. Japan was always interesting like that. They act really weird and creative to compensate for small genitalia.
