The Microsoft Gamevoice headphones, nearly as good as a reasonable pair of sennheisers in my opinion. Excellent Bass for headphones and v. crisp treble. They're not very comfy though ;-(

Sony MDR-101 Made In Philippines
"A live performance right between your ears. Perfect for at-home use or traveling. Hear every bass note with the Sony Acoustic Turbo Circuit and 30mm drive units."

  $4.99 at amazon.com
i overpaid for them in an emergency headphones replacement during my travels three years ago. the chord is frustratingly short. they are finally starting to wear down now and i will soon replace them.

  impressive, eh?

I got Sennheiser 590´s open air, this is the best I had in my life,

heavy bass and I can wear it the whole evening without getting sweaty ears, I don´t even notice it if I wear them...

so, yes they are very comfortable

It depends on the music and the equalizer ofcourse, the 590 produces natural bass sounds

yeah, just home listening and maybe on train journeys, i really like the Bose triport, they look really nice and are meant to be really light, small and comfortable... but from a lot of reviews they seem to be overpriced. So i've been looking for alternatives, i don't like the black plastic DJ look of a lot of headphones though.

for home listening I advise you to take open air, but if you are on a train it isn´t a good choice
the weight of a headphone isn´t that important tho, you need to know what the amount of pressure on your head will be, most of the time it is in the statistics but it is best to feel it

anyway, I can´t choose a headphone on the net, I have to hear before I buy it...

I'm going to get some sennheiser HD250 II in a while... right now I've got some old ones, but I've tested the 250II in the shop and I also tested the HD280s.. they both sounded pretty good, but with the 280s I couldn't wear glasses while wearing them 'cause they were so tight. The 250s were nice and soft on the ear... the only thing I've got as a setback of the 250s are that they've been in business for quite some time now, and I fear that they may be a bit outdated... wellwell.. I liked them, so I think I'm going for them... however, I don't really enjoy listening to music in headphones as much as on the speakers (mostly because of tinnitus) because you just can't get the same sound out of headphones as a good speaker.

It's about 70 or 80 € and you get a lot for it. Slightly better sound quality than Koss porta pro, and the bass is MUCH better

thats why i'm thinking about the bose triport's, from what i've heard they are the most comfortable. I just tried one out in the shop, really good sound and comfortable but overpriced which is a shame.

I own a pair of grados. I bought them because they were reported to have excellent sound. BUT, not so comfortable. You have to rig them up to be more comfy.
