i think most games have the option under their save/load type menus
i remember a few, especially if the 'pak' was full, it would allow you do delete the file of your choice to free up space for the game you were currently playing.
it does seem a bit odd, since systems have had the system menu where you can delete files since ps1

thanks. i never knew that. the game (hydro thunder) wouldn't let me erase the data from a menu or anything. shame, cause now the highscores are gone as well.
