Ustad Rashid Khan - a traditional indian vocalist - i've
seen him live but have found it next to impossible to find
any of his tracks

Anyone else have any suggestions? I find it very difficult
to find any accessible information about artists regarded as
outstanding, apart from the already mentioned Ravi Shankar.
I like his traditional releases more than his
contemporary/cross-over stuff.

I always thought/ hoped there would be more interest in
traditional indian music here, given the complexities of the
beats and its improvisational nature ....... but then again,
it's not elctronic, is it?

ok, i am not sure if these are actually considered "indian
classical music", but anyway i really like these two;

shivkumar sharma, hariprasad chaurasia, brijbushan kabra -
call of the calley

simon shaheen, vishwa mohan bhatt - saltanah
