I don't actually really like the Beatles, but I'm not going
to slag them since there are so many fans here (and
everywhere) and they can get pretty violent!

That's not a nice thing to say is it? You may not like them,
but to actually wish someone were dead..... I also agree
with the others here, Ophecks is gonna hunt you down when he
reads this thread!

um..I kinda share the sentiment but not to this violent
extewnt...
Beatles were great to some and still are but I think it's
high time they were laid to rest...and the music world
should stop feeling so..er indebted to em..I think the
billions they have made and will no doubt continue to
make..should be debt repayed several folds...I think it's
time to move on...

Dave...

I hope you're young... then I can forgive you for being
naive... because the Beatles... ARE NOT.... Backstreet
Boys... the Beatles... make APHEX TWIN look like an
insignifigant, boring, pretentious, piece of musical

SHIT!!!!!!

The Beatles own your ass!

The Beatles did start off as a shitty pop group, with
awful trite like Love Me Do. But then they started
experimenting and became pioneers rather than followers. I
would just love it if Backstreet Boys did something like
that; if they came out with a fucking masterpiece containing
the most beautiful music ever heard by man.

I doubt they're going to, but I'd love it if they did.

The Beatles went from I Want to Hold Your Hand to Tomorrow
Never Knows in 3 years!

What the fuck?

How is that POSSIBLE? Look how far they took things in so
little time... I swear, if Lennon was around today and was
young and in his prime... I'd shit myself, he'd DOMINATE!

I'm sure the Beatles were great in their time because they
were one of the first pop bands. But I don't think they're
that great if you listen to them now...

um there was a lot innovation happening at the same
time..tons of progressive krautrockers and even Pink Floyd
anf the velvets...did the Beatles bring innovation into the
manstream, yes..were they most innovative of their
time...heck no

please stop it with the non sense posts
the beatles are the 20th century all condensed in 7 years
the beatles are the most important composers of all time
popular music
the beatles will leve forever...no matter how many crazy
people shoot them..cos they are the true romance of men with
music.
because the world is round...

well I dunno... The Beatles were in the 60's, whereas Pink
Floyd was mainly in the 70's... not sure about the
velvets...

Nacmat is right... the Beatles were loved by EVERYONE...
popular AND respected artists, a balance nobody else has
ever had... that's a fucking accomplishment. The only time
in history the BEST band in the world was the most POPULAR,
as well... I'd love to be alive at that time. The musical
climate sucks, now.

The Velvets and Pink Floyd were great... but NO WAY IN HELL
are they on the Beatles level.
