i'm overhearing a conversation about some guy's favorite crummy american beers. lite, bud light, pbr. the worst swill imaginable. he avoids guinness because he doesn't like his drink to be closer to bread than to beer. he avoids coors and shopping at wal-mart because both companies, he asserts, are "owned by fascists." he might be a doctor. what's going on in my mind would probably bore/annoy you even more. nothing to get off my chest, though. |

the last couple of days my thoughts have been on kev. alas that cant be helped,but it allso makes me think how lucky i am. this saturday i will meet giginger,then later go see autechre play-and they are now my main thoughts-and if anyone else is going i shall buy them a drink. |

No, go on if you can. That was rather entertaining to hear.. I like the idea that so much stuff is going on around the world at any one moment.. It's interesting to gain an insight into even small inane things like that. Indeed, even if it was fabricated, it was an interesting insight into one person's imagination. |

he then went on to say that he had a theory about altered states. he believed that information that was absorbed in an altered state would emerge more clearly when someone was in a similar altered state. he enjoys drinking beer while reading, because if he then goes to a party and discusses what he read, he will recall more clearly and fluidly as he is drinking. he mentioned several times how he enjoyed drinking and reading, to the utter delight of the nurses to whom he was speaking. i also enjoy the idea of tiny snippets of external reality being randomly encoded and transmitted to other places and times. sort of like finding a photograph of a girl standing in front of a wall covered with burnt orange and gold wall paper preparing to blow out eight candles on a cake decorated with five dancing bears. which reminds me of that random web photo site. |
