F# Melodic Minor

7/4 :

Rhythm Section based upon this accented note pattern: the
first beat and the fifth beat in the first bar, the third
beat and the sixth beat in the second bar, the first and 3.5
(the middle of the bar) in the third bar, and the first beat
in the last bar

the melody plays divided into 4 or 8 notes each bar - that
would be 7 quarter notes long as 4 notes, or 3.5 as 8 :)

electric or acoustic bass is a must, also a very dry school
piano doing the melody for at least one measure

anything else is as you choose

if you need me to clarify i can send an audio sample of the
rhythm and type some stuff out as well :P

i... just closed it...

why? i do not know.

hmmm. is it the main rhythm, the

1 5
3 6
1 3.5
1

thing?

or how one would divide 4 or 8 notes into a bar of 7 beats?

offline Oddioblender from Fort Worth, TX (United States) on 2005-09-14 22:05 [#01723417]
Points: 9601 Status: Lurker

no no no... the bar and melody aren't confusing me at all.

should the rhythm look like this on a track?

(dash = rest) (. = syncopation)(B=beat)
1st B---B--
2nd --B--B-
3rd B--(.B)----
4th B------

if you can clarify that, i should be fine.

The SH-101 was/is an old synth, whilst I've yet to find a
great s/w emulator for it, you can get similar sounds (to
some of the sounds, not the whole palette) from Muon Tau
Pro, as well as Vaz modular. If this is not possible within
the scope of your service, I would like to replace it with a
chiptune style bass.

Detuned refers to just having the patch used detuned
slightly.

Thank you.

Here he is now!

*Wipes dust off the top of the disc*

Different to what I imagined, but I really like it. It
sounds like music to a game (possibly a ghouls and
ghosts/castlevania clone), but with a live drummer in
places. Well done, I hereby declare the press-a-song service
a success and would urge others to use it too.
