Hiya boys and girls! We will once again attempt to venture out onto the plains of not knowing what other people are doing; yes, it is in fact a new Exquisite Corpse. What is this? Well.. I had this idea.. get several music-makers together and make a track. Each will make their part (one to bass, one to melody, and so-on) without listening to the others' part. A BPM and maybe a theme or scale is decided beforehand, and when everyone is finished, it is mixed by one of the participants or preferrably a person that only does mix. The general idea for the tracks is that they're supposed to be as spontaneous as possible, which means it would be preferrable for them to be done within an hour or two (including the process of getting artists), so don't sign up unless you have the time. Ok.. this time I thought we could do something.. grand.. something grandiose and pompous! In other words, large unneccessary compositions and useless additions that do nothing but "spend money" (if this was something in real life, that is... examples are for instance the.. erh.. I don't know what it's originally called, nor its english name, but it's a classical piece that has cannons written into the sheet music.. you'll know it if you've heard it, and it's fairly well-known, but I've never known it by any name but its norwegian). I hope you get what I mean, and I hope there are willing artists out there this time too! let's set the BPM at 140 and the scale to mixolydian c (C D E F G A bH(bB) C).
