A very good selection, I never tire of recommending, are the free (don't let that put you off) albums available for download on the Sutemos label, particularly:
V/A : Flow.ers (Sutemos008) Lys : Naunuee (Sutemos004) V/A : Intelligent Toys (Sutemos002) V/A : Intelligent Toys 2 (Sutemos007)
and probably all the other releases. I'm usually very sceptical of net labels as I'm absurdly prejudiced and old but these are exceptional.

I'd aloso recommend this on Autoplate, and also Fernando Lagreca's album "Nadador".

That's what i came in here to mention.
The tired sounds of stars of the lid.
The album POP by Gas is essential also.
And for god's sakes PUB!!!
The "Summer" ep by Pub, or ">single" especially. Criminally underheard.
How about "Victorialand" by Cocteau twins?
"The pearl" by Brian Eno and Harold Budd?
"Lucky cat" by Isan?
Or with more beats, "go hawaii" or "whole numbers play the basics" by Casino Versus Japan.
The usual suspects.
Has nowigotworry ever come back to claim his recommendations?
