so i looked in the last 200 topics, the only one that had head in the title was about the fakes i'm listening to it for the first time right now, i'm playing the whole thing on my radioshow. its its ok so far. i turned the lights out, its pretty nice. what about you guys |

I haven't listened to it yet but I would never dis BOC they are too righteous for me to criticise them I consider them sacrosanct just like the other WATMM 5 but I also consider those guys friends in a way even though we haven't met AFAIK. |

production-wise it reminds me of four tet. the tracks sound like they're played by a band. in that sense this album clearly distinguishes itself from their former (official) albums. the first impression is that it needs more upbeat tracks, but that's similar to every other first impressions of boc-albums. in short: it'll probably be as good as the others. |

re: it being real or not, once you hear the real thing, there's no fucking denying it's real. you know. i downloaded a few of the fakes, was almost convinced with one of them, but the real thing completely blew me away. i think i've listened to it over a dozen times now and the suttle detail in some of the songs is still revealing itself. this is definitely an album you need high quality headphones and a system able to accurately reproduce sound to appreciate. best. boc. album. ever. peacock tail/dayvan cowboy are my favourites by far, followed by '84 pontiac dream/sherbert head/oscar see through red eye. sherbert head is incredible with high quality headphones (trips you out, almost), sounds pretty average on normal speakers. don't know what it's like on monitors. wow. haven't been this impressed by an album for a long while. |

^ amend the above, sherbert head isn't that fantastic by itself but it's a great track in succession of the surrounding songs. the comment about monitors was directed towards the whole album, rather just the song. |
