In july my band maudlin played to a shitload of people at the escape festival here in brisbane, aus.. we recorded the whole show directly from soundboard into pro tools... after a month or so of mixing it, its finally done! i've zipped it and uploaded it to yousendit for anyone interested... sound quality is pretty much as good as you could get it for a live show, so we're considering using this eventually as a live promo or something... so if anyone wants to check it out, let me know what you think! in other news, we're in the studio at the moment recording our debut single for "sumire" with producer peter gardner, that will probably come out around new year... pretty trippy seeing a full on hired string quartet playing to my song, and i'm particularly chuffed that i got to record on a $100,000 grande piano... i'll be looking for remixers too for that coz i need bsides, so i'll ask more around the time if anyone is keen... cheers! :) if anyone is also interested, im happy to upload a copy of the ruby promo cd which we released earlier this year, has some mad idm-ish remixes... _james.
