Well I've posted five songs here so far and people seemed to like the first four but really disliked the last one I put up. So I thought I'd roll the dice again and do another round. The most consistent complaint with my music is that it sounds flat or made with MIDI. There are sounds in this song I wish sounded better, but a lot of the time no matter what I do I can't get a sound to.. sound right. (Why is sound both a verb and a noun?) I use Reason 2.5. I clean up my songs a little in sound forge by using the graphic eq, but it's obvious that it still sounds a bit shitty. what is your advice on how to make my music SOUND better? As in, crisper, cleaner, fuller etc. Is that mastering device in reason 3.0 any good? Or should I just go to cubase for composition? Stand alone mastering program? It seems like almost every sound bank I get for reason is fucking crap. And of course I want feedback on my song. Thank you for reading this and giving me your opinions. I appreciate it. |
