The adverts for the forces on TV have whispering in their
adverts a lot. Therefore I refuse to watch them and miss the
number to call. Plus I'm too old. And don't want to join the
armed forces. And never have. Although I did have some
Action Men when I was a kid.

I've never served myself, but my father's highest rank in
the air force before he retired was lieutenant colonel. He
was never directly involved in combat though.

My grandfather was a fighter pilot in the navy during ww2.
He captained an air craft carrier, too. My cousin was in
Iraq. He was in the army. He served for more than a year.
He's back, but not doin' to well. He drops out and doesn't
talk to people. He saw some shit over there apparently. He
won't return my letters.
