Meron: hahahaha
Meron: "You should see it, [Geraldo is] running
around like a chicken with his head cut off," said one Fox
watcher in Kirkland, Wash. "Fox News needs to pull his
reports now! The man is trying to start a riot. I have never
seen anything so irresponsible."
Meron:
Meron: "I turned it off. It was ridiculous," said
another viewer. "The people there seemed well-mannered,
particularly considering the length of their ordeal. But
Geraldo seemed like he needed a slap across the chin like a
frightened heroine in an old-time western. Get a grip
Geraldo. If you want to play in the adult world, act like an
adult."

oh dear.... (source of this

oh dear (racist byottttchhhh)

They should use the plasma TVs to surf down the street,
that's what they should do.

Most of the ''talking heads'' have been pretty damn good, at
least on CNN. You can tell the politicians and FEMA heads
and generals and whoever are nervous and can't answer half
the questions satisfactorily. I love it.

(but I also hate it)

didn't post right.. sorry:

rip-silvergun: Sean Hannity asked Franklin Graham tonight
why "on the one hand" some people have risked their lives to
help the hurricane victims while "on the other side, we have
looting, shooting, rape and mayhem."
rip-silvergun: Graham answered, "Of course, Sean, this
happens in a country when we have taken God out of our
schools and God out of our society. We don't have a moral
standard and we need to put God back into our schools."

Oddly enough you will find a large proportion of Americans
agreeing with that sentiment. You will actually find a lot
higher proportion of Hannity & Colmes veiwers agreeing
completely with it. The whole taking God out of education,
justice and government has been an emotive issue in the US
for a while now.

unfortunately, a lot of people believe in the "taking God
out" rhetoric and insist on "putting God in". bush has done
nothing if not support churches and religions and budget
more money to religious organizations (like the safe-sex
organizations that refuse to give young people condoms and
the rape victims support centers that advise rape victims
against abortions). there has been a renaissance of
religious propaganda since bush took office, the flourishing
of putting god in, and part of that is repeating the mantra
over and over, "These liberals want to take God out..."

Yep, I follow politics quite closely and I can see that
during the Bush presidency there is a much starker
polarisation of viewpoints covering an entire spectrum of
issues, it is actually worrying to see as extremism is not
good in any form.

Polarization?

Between people who think it's acceptable to rig elections,
and people who do not?

Between people who think it's acceptable for racial
minorities to constitute a permanent underclass, and those
who do not?

Between people who think it's acceptable to start optional
wars that primarily benefit crony corporations, and those
who think otherwise?

Yes, I've seen some of that.

The levels of fanaticism that exists in the US is growing
and seriously at the moment it just seems to be a timebomb
waiting to go off. The media has completely
disproportionate levels of coverage, for example the Natalee
Holloway situation, which is stirring up a lot of anger.
Also from my perspective there is what is amounting to
nothing more than out and out acceptance of racism when it
comes to the discussions over border protection from Mexico.
Hmm, America appears to be an increasingly hostile place
which doesn't befit the nature of most Americans I have met.

I think this is a total tragedy. It's so bad that Bush will
not be able to spin it, it seems. The only good to come out
of this will be to see the end of that twats reign. It's
mind-boggling to me how he got in a second term.

I mean, how many presidents have had 2 films dedicated to
their incomptence? I think his reaction to Sept 11 was very
similar to this... just a different scale. That's why I'm
amazed he got in again last year.

More on federal officials seemingly bent on

Do not watch this clip if you are already sick of bursting
into tears.

no i am
america voted bush so that's a reason to be pro bush as an
commercial news station
it's good showing the help is going shit but instead of
accusing politicians of being shit (true but populist) they
might want to cover what's going wrong so people get
informed (and vote a less incompetent rightwinger next
time)
i guess i mean: read instead of watching stupid tv

Its very upsetting and hard to watch than a man crying like
that.

Bush cut levy and storm protection funds in New Orleans by
80% in 2004 to help fund iraq. What a cunt.

I think that's very hard to do when the situation is still
at hand, more something you can do afterwards.

besides that, the people and places you'd get that
information from are mostly completely unaccesible.

the reason FOX is pro-bush is not because america voted
bush.

FOX has always been extremely right-wing. It's to do with
Rupert Murdoch and the setup of the whole place.

I suggest watching a documentary called Outfoxed. It might
even be available on the internet for free.
