got shit else to do so why not!

what is your favorite autechre song and why?

has there ever been an autechre song that you "expected" and
thought was unoriginal? which one?

forever have been 'thatne, scourge of xltronic' but you blew
it.

i have a whole lot of autechre tracks that i love, so i
would be hard pressed to name just one, the only things by
autechre that i really havent been able to fully get into is
incunabula and amber, the rest is just daisies.

a really great one! that is one of my favs by them, i really
love it, its old school sound, but something about it gives
it life to this day

off the top of my head some specials:
deal
cipater
laughing quarter
tilapia
arch carrier / anything off of lp5
netlon sentinel
dropp
blifil
iss:sa
pntil
the trees

i guess for me to even remember the track names - they have
to be something special, usually i pay no attention to the
names.

let's try to catagorize some autechre

something im sure they love having done to their music
(sarcasic, but i love pissing them off)

confield then draft are my favs
gantz_graf follows

it mainly comes down to the fact that the "phat fucking
beats" are all that matters, not to mention the arrangement

let's see

we got

the intro track to the
here

not to mention the

sicked just jezous at 2:45 that is the sickest beat and it only ...

but comon

draft is so far ahead of anything it's not evenworth
discussing.

the whole fucking album ... you could wipe out every other
track they've ever done, and draft could stand on it's own
and hold up their entire momentum

lentic catachresis

that's the track i blast a work whenever anyone is in or
near my cube

there are two "autechre" tracks that i play at work

that and augmatic disport

those are the 2 tracks i play to sound the most
"autechreish" whenever someone is in my vicinity

and im like

yeah

shit yeah

shit, shit ....

....shit HELL YEAH

the thing i really like about untilted is that its so hard
hitting, draft was so laid back in a sense, and usually you
will see an artist continue on the route to quiet more
intricate albums, but autechre just fucking lay the hard
right out for you, on their 8th lp! incunabula was 91 ish,
and now 2005 they sound like two punk rock kids picking up
guitars for the first time.

draft had the most subtle, beautiful melodies hidden deep
but were very prominent throughout ... they were there and
you couldn't deny them.

untilted didn't have that ... i really missed them and it
took a long time to digest

it holds its place ... somewhere on the outskirts , but it
works

it works well

they always do

Elusive- those 2 samples, were they from the Untilted tour?
If not, WTF were they from?!?!?! I thought I had all their
shit, but those two samples just might have proved me wrong.

the hardest question in the world?

of course pen expers is my favourite, but Ipacial section
and Augmatic Disport are my most listened to at the moment.

Elusive, you are right about Draft. It is utterly
fandabulous, i can't understand the criticism it gets. Each
of the ten tracks is an absoloute masterpiece. If you don't
like it, listen more!

dude yeah cipater is all the way up there too, cipater is
serious. id actually probably put that one next.

elusive

7.mp3

the part immediately following that is the hardest ultimate
hip-hop of the untilted tour. that is the part that had me
headbanging the hardest...

nothing can beat the sounds of the final boss of the
untilted tour... that megabeat , with the green-glass
stimuli waves in the background coming at you in waves, holy
shit, it just howls at you like some fucked up machine from
far away demanding you to response mentally to it. that shit
is SERIOUS.

ive been listening to the untilted bootleg live content
almost as much as untilted. dunno how it works out. it hits
the spot, and violently and quickly. just sort of injects
itsself man. sends the shiver up my spine, makes me stand up
from the pc and dance right in my bedroom like im at the
tour again. that end sequence is just, its just so "OOMPF"
that it should be outlawed because nothing else can touch
it. the combo of the beats and those leviathanic howls...

i mean, its a SOUND, right? but its so VIVIDLY something
physical at the same time, its a mother fucking jet
propulsion of sound and beats in your fucking face, stomach,
legs

it just kicks my ass. i swear, if they can top that stuff
they did live 2005, then, i dont know man, i couldnt bear it
if it was any better i might go crazy. shit is interactive
like a video game... sometimes i swear im listening with
more than just my ears

mrgypsum;

i totally agree untilted stands from the rest of the albums
because it is so aggressive. i cant put my finger on it, but
the album is also totally electro to me... some weird
prototype of electro or something its real weird to me

didn't we agree that the 6.MP3 content was LCC remix? the
volume and space of the "slap" gets smaller just like in
LCC... and its got the "theme"

i remember when the BOOM, BOOM in that song was pulled out
during my first show - i pretty much thought i was at zenith
right there but nooo

my fav has got to be lp5 though - i like that really
synthetic sound they had back then - also the style is not
really hip hop not really idm not really anything but it
works so well, hands down bestest.
