This track is super, I never appreciated Draft 7.30 so
much.
I saw a lot of good comments about this release on xlt, so i
decided to re-listening Draft again. IV VV IV VV VIII is a
special track, now it is surely one of those my favs
autechre tracks.

About autechre I discovered also another splendid song
called "C_Pach" on Tri Repetae though. Recommended to all!

Yours opinions about Draft?

...Autechres!

I always think they dress very nicely, the Ae boys. So does
Richard. Luke Vibert and Squarepusher always look a state
though. These are my thoughts.

Ok, I'm listening it now.

dog_belch: How true.

xylin room is tops for me
3:36 or so when the beat just stutters

and then gets ready to fall off the cliff but lags in mid
air for a moment like in a cartoon

3:36 or so, when that 2nd melody in the background comes in

this is one of their most destructive patterns i've ever
heard
it is tops
the 2nd half melody is just amazing

same thing with the 2nd half of 6ie.cr, wow
their greatest album

I see you've been confused by an example of the english
language. In e-z american this phrase would better be
re-worded as "Luke Vibert and Squarepusher's dress
sensibilty negatively encroaches in a number of
minor-judgement-lapse awareness factoroids, presenting a
visual image status that is non-optimum".

Xylin Room is another of their best, my favourite moment is
exactly from 1 minuts to 3.20 minuts.

Surripere is sweet too, after 3.56 minuts starts a
electronic chaos but I still can enjoy the melody in the
background.

2nd half of 61E.CR is so beautiful. That melody is so
pleasant I get lost trying to follow it and my brain
continues to follow it even after it's gone

makes me :'(

V-PROC has one of the hardest beat combos ever. and P.:NTIL
is 110% hip hop madness

Try to listen this cool mix of IV VV IV VV VIII.

It has been hosted on xlt.

I'd like to know who mixed it because it is so great!

Last week I listened to Draft for the first time in like
year and a half and it totally blew me away like it never
has before. I think it might be my favorite intelligent
dance music album ever. And this track is gigantic, a huge
robot with no legs dragging itself up a coastal town
crushing everything as it drags its torso onto land using
his arms.

It's awright.

6ie.cr still stands as my favourite Draft 7.30 trac.

i find draft a bit too heavy on the bass(base?)

in other words, because i turn the bass and treble up to max
on anything i listen to music on, i get a rumble when i play
draft - so what i do is turn down the bass about 80% and
then i can hear everything without the rumble, makes the
albums clearer

i know is really a muddy (read: good muddy) sounding album,
but the bass is just too high already without me
adding more to it, so i usually leave it at about 20%

take note everyone!

btw this is my fav aside from lp5.

there is seriously something wrong with your setup

the bass is very important on these tracks but no where near
overdone or the sort

are you listening to flac or the cd or the vinyl??? i fear
something is wrong with your setup

the bass is extremely important but maintans a distant
entity on a common eq'd setup

i am not saying that they over did it, its how i set it up
for any music i play on any system, i turn the bass and the
treble up to max for anything i listen to....usually i can
get it to sound pretty clear, but with draft it fucks up all
the tones and sounds.

nothing autechre is doing, more like how i am changing the
settings.

i wouldn't recommend turning the bass and the treple up to
max

you are really distorting the final output of the system

it's not meant to be listen to like that

draft.

I've made threads about this, and nobody seems to
agree...but if you listen to a track like IV VV IV VV VIII
on headphones, it sounds a lot more "mono" than most other
releases (the same goes for other tracks off Draft.)

It's still a fun album, though. AE said that they got the
production warmer on Untilted, and I'd probably agree...But
it's still an exciting listen.

Yeah i'm agree about that. Another track recommened to
listen on your headphones is "pir" on EP7. You can't miss
it.
