need some help peeps i wanna geta new sound card
i really like the emu 1820 but its out of my budget and so i
been looking at the emu 1212 but it doesnt ahve centre front
and rear outputs for my surround sound system so i dont
really know if its worth getting, i thought about getting
the terratec phase 88 aswell but again the outputs dont seem
to be for my speakers
any advice ideas?
i like the emu cos it ahs onboard dsp so i wont be using cpu
when running reverbs etc

The best card to get is probably a birthday one. Now, that

i been looking at 5.1 speakers with digital outputs so i can
get the 1212 card but they dont say whether the fucker is
digital or not

well, this soundcard doesnt have a front or rear, simply
left and right.

but with so many outputs, you could probably 'trick' the
system. there are some pieces of software that can send
different surround sound channels to certain outputs - i
think

yer i think ive decidded to simply use the centre and ahve
that as 2.1 fuck surround sound like, u can assign all the
outputs on that card with the patchmix but hey who knows if
i had the money id get the 1820 with its mic preamps and
balanced inputs with amped headphone and 7.1 surround
outputs
