Why is that annoying backgound syth in there, in one of the
greatest records of mankind?

I always feel bad for autechres sake, when that song comes
in... Anyone in love with the stupid little asian child
fiddling around on a cheap synth in the background?

Well, this thread is for thoose who love Autechres
Confield!
I have nothing against the vocals in einstein rosen bridge,
it´s supposed to be fun, and it is!

One of the tracks in the middle of the 1st tri repetae album
has a weird tone that constantly repeats and is slightly
annoying. You probably know which one.
It starts:
boom boom cha pa doom
dip dup dup dup chup DEEM

AH! Are you talking about "Eutow"?

eutow doesn't have a fucking beat at the start

It must be c/pach.

I never really noticed the noise for a while, but when I did
it was always slightly annoying. It's all right now. Still
a great song.

Yeah right, just re-listened C_Pach, it must be the track
mentioned by w M w, as mapp said.

Playing it now- track 3 on the first album. It is a good
track. I think when that noise starts going in different
pitches to match the melody is when it sounds weird. Maybe
it's too much of a "percussion" element to function as
melodic.

Also the very last track on disc 1 is one of my favorite tri
repetae tracks. But recently I played the last track off
front line assembly's "implode" right after it and the
implode track was quite better in general quality... same
sort of dark abrasiveness but more keen on melody and
percussion as a "correct" sounding whole.

"eutow doesn't have a fucking beat at the start
"

I suggest you check out the Eutow beat on the 1996 Flex
Autechre show ... rediculous i tell you, just rediculous
wood-sounding beat....mmm

...By the way, isn't the real Eidetic Casein track like an
hour long? And the album version is just a snippit?

Yeah I always thought that the synth in Eidetic Casein was
out-of-tune, like Bob Dylan's guitar on Queen Jane
Approximately... they both have the same effect on each
track...

intentionally off-key like a two key pattern of G-G# G-A
G-A#

Damn that Eutow feels they remixed it with a Casio Vltone

I like this track, and don't hear anything wrong with it.
Although this and sim gishel are the tracks I listen to the
least.

I have no idea what the hell this thread is about. Could
someone explain? All the words in the topic title I know and
understand, however the order in which they are put together
leads me to confusion.

Eidetic Casein... yes I'm with you so far..

Asian kid... what?

bakground syth... what what? is this a star wars thing?

hate topic... if I could work out the middle bit I'd have
more chance factoring this in.

c/pach is great

xceque: well It sounds like a an asian melody played on a
toy synth, but totally out of tune and it´s in the
background of that song, and it sometimes drives me mad!

But it's... out of tune. That's quite rare for Autechre, I
mean it almost makes the instrument... human-played.

What are you talking about....this sound fits perfect with
the other background synth. Together they form a nice pair
with the beat.

These background sounds makes Autechre songs enjoyable for a
long period.

from interviews autechre don't sound eletist, so I imagine
if they found a sound they like they would use it regardless
of whether or not it's original or a preset or whatever, and
I'd personally like to see them keep it that way, who gives
a shit if a sound they use sounds like a standard synth
sound, I thought the music itself would be more important,

and yet afx uses straight synth noises and that's "cool"
